ABOUT ME

Having been active in scientific research and continuously funded for over 40 years, I have become an expert in multiple areas. At the same time, as a professor at top-line universities, I have a long track record of excellent teaching and educational activities, and have taught formal classes at all undergraduate and graduate levels.  I have supervised undergraduate and graduate students in research projects in my laboratory, and have mentored numerous postdoctoral research associates and technicians.

My areas of expertise include the analysis and manipulation of living cells and organisms, the design, validation, and deployment of electronic instruments, technical platforms and measurement devices for cellular analysis and manipulation, characterization of the regulation of gene expression in healthy and disease states, monitoring of  environmental distributions of microbes, both beneficial and pathogenic, and characterization of large-scale distributions of species within the environment.
